When the Faith-Based Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (FB-ISAO) was founded in 2018, the mission was relevant – it is just as relevant today if not even more so. The threat environment continues to evolve, and faith-based organizations are threatened or worse attacked often – too often. No one expects that” it will happen here.” People affected by the attacks on the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina, the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, and countless others, didn’t think it would happen there.
“As the primary guardian against threats that may be approaching our ‘gate’, the FB-ISAO also keeps me apprised.”

What FB-ISAO has to offer is unique – and that is the fundamental reason why we continue to exist. Our work benefits Faith-Based Organizations in terms of providing a safe environment for the exchange of ideas, to address the many security challenges we face as a community as well as to share best practices and mitigation strategies. With access to resources and analysis to manage risk, we all become force multipliers. Many of our members are invested in the mission. They have said often that they get more out pf participation than they give – and we are so grateful. We’ve accomplished a lot but, we have a lot more to do. We’ve published over 500 analytical reports! We are represented on the DHS Faith-Based Security Advisory Council where we’ve spoken about and advocated on many issues including building trust with our government partners, streamlining access to grants, and improving information sharing.
“FB-ISAO is a community that provides me access to government and industry specialists.”

In order to keep going, we need your support. All the platforms that make FB-ISAO possible have a cost associated with them. As a 501c3 we make every effort to take advantage of programs for non-profits that bring down costs or eliminate them but there are still costs that we cannot avoid.
Your full participation is important – we are working together on the security resiliency and preparedness of the entire community of faith, and so our new membership program allows you to reap all the benefits of membership and to fully participate at all times. It is easy to identify the problem but much harder to fix it so let’s put all of our brains to work.
The aggressor has to get it right just one time, the defender has to protect everything – all the time.
In a nutshell, we’ve brought down the cost of participation. For as little as $20 per month or $200 per year – you can take part in all that FB-ISAO has to offer. Our membership program just become more affordable. In addition to lowering the cost of entry, we are making an enterprise level of membership available to larger organizations that have multiple security teams addressing various aspects of the organization’s security programs. By making a financial commitment of only $20 a month you, and your organization, can continue to reap the rewards of participation by taking advantage of all the benefits that FB-ISAO offers. That’s everything – from working groups to information sharing communities to networking and professional growth opportunities. Consider asking your leadership, or board of trustees, for funding to continue your participation and to deepen your commitment to the security of the entire community.
“Faith-Based ISAO has provided me with specific, actionable guidance.”

Without a financial commitment – we will honor our commitment to you to keep you informed of any threats and we will pass on information that comes to us from our partners. However, please note that your access will be quite limited going forward.
We are so grateful for your involvement, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the months and years to come.
You MUST act by 29 September in order for your benefits not to be curtailed.
