Wave of car break-ins hits Raleigh churches: $2,000 and handgun stolen
A recent report reveals that on Sunday, July 13th, thieves broke into at least 31 vehicles parked at five different churches in Raleigh. Surveillance footage from one of the churches captured a black Infiniti pulling up during services, with the suspect smashing the window of a pickup truck and stealing a handgun and $2,000 in cash, neither of which were visible from the outside.
Police believe criminals are targeting pick-up trucks because they suspect them to contain weapons. They warn congregants to remove any visible clues like firearms or gun-brand stickers that may hint a weapon presence.

Through its JShield initiative, the Federation is also offering free training, security planning, and grant assistance to help Jewish communities stay safe while continuing religious and educational activities openly.

The church had been sheltering hundreds of displaced Palestinians. Israeli authorities described the incident as a mistake caused by stray fireand announced an investigation.
