“Our right to worship freely and without fear is fundamental to life in America,”

Renn Cannon, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Oregon.

Why an ISAO?

As demonstrated by the success of the Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) supporting the critical infrastructure community, when communities of similarly focused organizations come together in trusted environments to foster information sharing and best practices about threats and mitigation, they bolster the readiness and resilience of each member and the community as a whole, and support what FEMAdescribes as “a more prepared and resilient nation.”

The community of faith, a critical part of the American neighborhood and families of all faiths and backgrounds across our nation, is not a part of a traditional “critical infrastructure” sector. As such, FB-ISAO seeks to provide this vital part of the American way of life with the same ability to enhance its security and resilience as other critical lifelines and essential services.

FB-ISAO is a trusted community within the inclusive, community of faith. The ISAO and members maintain primary focus on sharing timely, actionable and relevant information with one other – with an all-hazards approach as incidents affecting our community have come in the form of physical threats, cybersecurity issues, health outbreaks, and a variety of natural disasters. Sharing can occur from machine-to-machine or human-to-human. FB-ISAO also fosters the building of relationships and networking across our community.

FB-ISAO’s mission is to provide members with information, analysis, and capabilities to help reduce risk while enhancing preparedness, security, and resilience.

FB-ISAO collaborates with our members, other ISACs and ISAOs, government agencies and law enforcement partners, and communities we work with across the country, and worldwide, because threats are no longer to limited by geography, nor are the solely the responsibility of our public servants.
