Managing security for any organization, big or small, is a never-ending responsibility. The impacts of that one successful attack can be devastating. The pressure, on security teams, can lead to high stress, anxiety, and burnout.

The Nonprofit Security Grant: Fall Supplemental

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it is providing $210 million in funding as part of the Nonprofit Security Grant Program – National Security Supplemental (NSGP-NSS).

35 dead as driver hits crowd at sports center in southern Chinese city

VOA reports:

A driver killed 35 people and injured another 43 when he deliberately rammed his car into people exercising at a sports center in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai, police said Tuesday.

As the list below shows, vehicles can be a weapon used by perpetrators of hate crimes and also by terrorists. Faith-Based Organizations should consider reviewing and improving their facility’s protection against these types of attacks. Also, members of the faith community should consider being aware of their surroundings while in public. Be on the alert for any kind of possible attack. A general rule of thumb is that there is safety in numbers, but vehicle attackers aim for large crowds. When in a crowd, it is good to be aware of at least one escape route.
