Million Mask March
The Million Mask March will take place Sunday, 05 Nov. Historically, some of the more notable demonstrations have occurred in London and the US Pacific Northwest. In the past, there have been incidents of concern, including escalation between demonstrators and law enforcement, and some incidents of violence and vandalism, including bomb and gun-related arrests. These events were more notable prior to COVID and have been less eventful in recent years. Nonetheless, good to maintain awareness of events as they may see some levels of escalation and also provide cover for those with more nefarious designs. Given already active demonstrations around the world relating to events in Israel and Gaza, and this year’s protests falling on a Sunday, these activities may be more notable this year. Analyst Comments:
Organizers claim there will be marches at multiple locations in the U.S. and worldwide. The current atmosphere increases the possibility of any protest turning violent. Faith-Based Organizations (FBO) should consider increasing their security if they are located near an area where mass protests usually occur. FBOs should also monitor news media reports this weekend to ascertain if there are protests near their facilities and if they have become violent.
