10 ways to protect worship facilities from unrest and vandalism
The Church Executive’s item provides a short explanation of the following steps to protect houses of worship:
- Lock all doors and windows
- Light up the property
- Perform regular security sweeps of the facility
- Pick up mail and newspapers every day
- Secure art and other valuables
- Protect your stained-glass windows
- Keep your property looking neat
- Keep all flammables securely locked away
- Maintain a relationship with local police
- Install a security system
