US military bases in Europe raise security threat levels
U.S. military bases in Europe were put on a heightened state of alert over the weekend as installations urged vigilance among their members. At U.S. European Command headquarters in Stuttgart, the Army garrison on Sunday issued a communitywide alert that the force protection threat level was elevated to condition “Charlie” until further notice.

Analyst Comments:
Attacks and warnings of a possible terrorist attack continue. Force Protection Level (FPCON) Charlie is the fourth highest level of five levels. Only Delta is higher.
FB-ISAO’s 27 June 2024 Daily Awareness Post and 17 June 2024 Daily Awareness Post highlighted multiple indicators of an increased terror-threat environment. Faith-Based Organizations should consider maintaining or increasing their protection and resilience efforts.
The federal Joint Counterterrorism Assessment Team’s (JCAT) First Responders Toolbox: Terrorism Prevention Spectrum is designed for first responders. The toolbox considers “faith leader” to be one of the key players with which first responders should work. The toolbox provides a wide variety of resources that can be used by FBOs.
