Analyst Comments:

Organized interstate and transnational groups are robbing Buddhist and Hindu temples. These groups may move to a new state once local law enforcement becomes aware of them. Faith-Based Organizations (FBO), especially Buddhist and Hindu organizations, should consider being extra vigilant against robberies. Local law enforcement can provide individual FBOs with general and specific suggestions for improving security.

Some groups distract religious leaders, while others commit robberies. At least once the robbers held religious leaders hostage while committing robberies. Other times robberies occur during religious services.

This is the description of one of the groups: three women and lone man with a dark-colored Honda Pilot.
