This DAP highlights – GMU student charged in mass-casualty plot targeting Jews. DAP also has More Faith-Based Stories and Select All-Hazard Stories. These updates are shared to help raise the situational awareness of Faith-Based organizations to best defend against and mitigate the impacts from all-hazards threats including physical security, cybersecurity, and natural disasters.
FB-ISAO’s Scholarship Program
The Faith-Based Information Sharing and Analysis Organization is made up of people who all contribute to the mission by collaborating on threat intelligence, reporting, programs, and products. Our members, partners, and the FB-ISAO team all play a pivotal role in making the community stronger together.
It is not lost on us that smaller faith-based organizations (FBOs) tend to have fewer resources than larger faith-based organizations do. Smaller FBOs have fewer congregants and therefore fewer volunteers to run security programs. A benefactor wants to help and so do we! We are so excited to announce a membership scholarship program.
There will be four awards for membership at our Hero level. To learn more about our membership programs, please review our membership page. Interested applicants should complete an application.
The program is open to any faith-based organization that meets the eligibility criteria:
- A house of worship with 200 or less congregants
- A volunteer safety team
- A developing security program
- Adherence to a regular check-in process to monitor progress on security initiatives and contributions to the community through participation in Information Sharing Communities and Working Groups.
- Willingness to assist with testimonials that serve to increase awareness about FB-ISAO
A committee, made up of one member of our Board of Directors, one member of our Advisory Board, one member of FB-ISAO, and two members of the FB-ISAO team will review applications to determine eligibility and qualification.
The application window is open from 01 May to 15 June 2022. The award selection committee will review and make decisions on applications by 15 July 2022. Awardees will be notified, and an announcement will be made soon thereafter.
This is a first of its kind program for FB-ISAO! We will offer scholarships on a regular basis in the future. If you would like to help the community by contributing to our scholarship fund, please make a donation here.
